Scientists from the United States found that blueberries, apples and pears are the main products for the prevention of type 2 diabetes.

The US National Institutes of Health conducted a study of 200,000 people, whose observation lasted 24 years. During this period, 12,600 people were diagnosed with diabetes.

Participants were divided into groups, depending on the composition of their diet. As a result, it turned out that people who consumed two or more servings of blueberries per week had a 23% reduction in the risk of diabetes.

The same trend was observed in those who ate at least five apples or pears a week.

Scientists explain that these berries and fruits contain a large amount of flavonoids and fiber. By the way, replacing them with juices does not give a positive effect.
